Mr. Allen's background includes eight years as Senior Vice President at Guarantee Life Companies where he reported to the Chairman and specialized in solving mission critical problems.In addition to playing key roles in strategic planning and taking the company public, he served as Division Manager for the group insurance business. In this capacity, he led a major reengineering project which utilized technology to bring an integrated workflow solution to the underwriting, customer service and claims functions, resulting in significant increases in productivity. Previously, he served as President of Louis Allen Associates, an international management-consulting firm where he led strategic planning and restructuring assignments and marketed the firm's services. As Vice President/General Manager at Majers Corporation (now part of Dun & Bradstreet), he was responsible for selling sophisticated marketing intelligence systems to Fortune 500 companies. He serves on the Board of Directors of Janus of Santa Cruz, a leading substance abuse treatment center, volunteers for the Taproot Foundation, and served on the Group Insurance committee at LIMRA. |
